Changing keyboard in Pi

I have installed the PI on memory card and to started the Pi.

I wanted to put password for adding pi to my wifi network however I faced issue that there was # in my password but keyboard was not US so instead of # it was printing pound sign.

For chaining the keyboard you can use utility

raspi-config

Localisation Options

Change Keyboard Layout

Generic 105 …..

select OK using tab buttons

you will get options and select English US

click OK

then reboot using init 6
